Evy and Steve Klassen

Evy and Steve Klassen are the Executive-Directors of the MARK Centre.   Together they have given leadership to the MARK Centre from its inception.  Steve and Evy believe that God speaks to people today in a variety of ways.  They both love to guide people in listening experiences and facilitate short retreats.  Steve is a trained Spiritual Director and meets with individuals for monthly sessions.  He also speaks publicly, dramatizing stories from Mark that highlight God’s personal love for people. Steve and Evy have six children.

Joy Rousay

Joy Rousay is the Director of Operations for the MARK Centre.  You may meet her in a variety of roles, as she handles the office functions and booking arrangements, supervises chalet preparation and maintenance and welcomes guests. She delights in providing a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment that can become a sacred space in which God can speak to His children.  Joy lives on site in the house at the front of the property.

Judy Harms-Wiebe

Judy Harms-Wiebe is passionate about creating spaces for people to experience God's word with their senses. She enjoys transforming the MARK Centre chalet each Christmas for our open house walk-through. Speaking, teaching, praying for people and coming along side those who desire to live out their calling are activities Judy delights in.  She and her husband, Ray, have three daughters: Ashley, Alanna and Alyssa.

Lorie Martin


Lorie has a passion to encourage everyone to know and experience the intimate and interactive love Jesus has with us.  At the MARK Centre Lorie leads contemplative retreats composed of quiet interactive times with the Lord using Scripture, worship, listening and healing prayer.  Lorie is a qualified Spiritual Director for staff and guests at the MARK Centre. She lives in Abbotsford with her husband of 30 years, Dwight, and they have 5 children.

Theresa Schroeder 

Theresa Schroeder has blessed the MARK Centre with her servant heart since its inception. She has done a variety of things from laundry, to cooking for retreats, cleaning, landscaping, making gift baskets and cards and blessing people with her amazing massages. It is with sadness that the MARK Centre will say goodbye to Theresa who plans to leave at the end of August.

 Cathy Hardy

Cathy's passion is to create sacred space for the healing of the heart and for deep connection with God. Over the past 7 years she has been involved in leading many community events including ecumenical Taize services in the Fraser Valley, contemplative retreats, and teaching about stillness and rest.  At the MARK Centre, Cathy leads silent retreats and serves as a spiritual director for guests. Cathy has released two CD's in the past 3 years entitled "Rest" and "Trust" and has just come out with a new single called "Love Shines" which can be purchased online at http://www.cathyajhardy.com/love-shines-single.php
